RED TAILED HAWKS

Anatomy

The red tailed hawk is a spectacular bird ranging from 18 to 26 inches long.Their wings are long and broad,spanning up to at least 4 1/2 feet wide.It's tail is also long and broad.The most common Red Tailed Hawks have a pale chest with a dark stripe across their stomach.These birds weigh between 24.36 to 51.54 ounces.
